A Miss Carolina del Sur Lauren Caitlin se le preguntó porqué creía que 1/5 de norteaméricanos no podían encontrar USA en un mapa. Ella respondió:






"Personalmente creo que los Americanos de US son incapaces de hacerlo porque eeehhh, algunas personas de nuestra nación no tienen mapas y uhhh... creo que nuestra, yo, educación como en, uuh, Sudáfrica, y uh, Iraq, en todas partes es asó y creo que deberian, uuh, nuestra educacion aquí en US deberia ayudar a US, uuh, y ayudar a Sudáfrica, debería ayudar a Iraq y a los paises asiáticos para que construyamos nuestro futuro, para nosotros."

(I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uhmmm, some people out there in our nation don’t have maps and uh, I believe that our, I, education like such as uh, South Africa, and uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should, uhhh, our education over here in the US should help the US, uh, should help South Africa, it should help the Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future, for us.)
